The Harmony for Hope initiative uses a combination of tools and approaches in order to empower students through music education.
The project elements include the Student-led Teaching Program, which covers music theory, vocal warm ups and rhythm exercises twice a week, the Duet of Hope Interview Series, which will feature professional musicians sharing their insights into the creative process of songwriting; the Choir of Hope Teacher Network which will connect professional vocal coaches with NGOs, the Harmony for Hope Fundraising Showcase, which will, in collaboration with professionals, raise funds for the creation and maintenance of more such programs, and finally, the Tunes of Hope Creative Teacher Action Network, by which experts and teachers will conduct the weekly classes pro bono.
By collaborating with Jaivakeel, Harmony for Hope aspires to create a lasting impact on its students. Through these efforts, Harmony for Hope hopes to bring training, resources and opportunities in music to children who cannot otherwise afford or access them. The project is driven by the vision of all children being afforded the opportunity to develop skills and interests.
